So much for 3 day shipping. No help whatsoever from USPS customer service.
At least my package made it out of (robot voice) “CHICAGO METRO HUB”, which is notorious for being a black hole. Apparently, others have had packages stuck in the “CHICAGO METRO HUB” for weeks and even months.
I might be able to sleep peacefully tonight knowing that my package has finally reached it’s destination state:

Doesn’t suck as bad as the California DMV, Hayward Office.

California in general brings the suck. Its a shame too because Cali is a beautiful state and I’d totally visit again.

What California brings is not the suck, but the weather. And given the weather, we can put up with a lot of suck.

Same here. I’ve been waiting for my new front springs for Crusty since the fifth. UPS used to be much better than this.

I know that anything I order that goes through the hands of the USPS will NEVER be on time. Every single time there’s always a delay. Or they just lose it outright. Why even offer tracking?

My luck, if someone is sending ME something by USPS it usually arrives on time. So weird.
I ship stuff via UPS every day at work and I’m completely satisfied with their service. In retrospect, I should’ve done the same here. I hope I can have the shop that is performing the work return the item back to me by UPS.

If you paid for 3 day guaranteed and it didn’t happen, you can call and get your money back

I would get attempted delivery notices for times I was home. The lady at the post office said it’s because the mailman’s delivery system doesn’t have an option for “didn't have time to deliver"

Wait until they tell you it was delivered yet never was. We had a package that my wife had been waiting for, was alerted to the mailtruck by our dogs, watched the woman put the mail in the box and drive on, then the online tracker reported that it had been delivered. Called the local post office that afternoon, while the carrier was still out on her route, and received no help whatsoever. I try to use FedEx or UPS whenever possible and never have any issues.

I’ve been surprised by them recently. Gotten 2 packages delivered on a Sunday, never even knew they did that!

Dang. Thats pretty shady. USPS customer service is non-existant except for their twitter help account... but ONLY if their reps are online.
Did you ever get the package or file a claim for stolen?

That’s a relatively new thing they’ve been doing. I dont think every location/state has it yet either.

That time we filed a report since I could prove that they never delivered it. There was another time I bought a book off ebay (AJ Baine’s Go Like Hell) that they said was delivered but wasn’t — I just ended up buying a second copy. I try to get all people to send stuff to me other than via USPS, but not everyone will.
